Hans Jensen Transport A/S entered into agreement with J. Chr. Koldkur Transport A/S regarding an acquisition of the full range of company activities. Through this acquisition Hans Jensen Transport doubles its vehicle fleet and a big new player within the tank transport in Denmark has been established.
The two family-owned transport companies Hans Jensen Transport and J. Chr. Koldkur Transport have made an agreement about a merger with effect from the 15th of September 2021.
The combined tank truck fleet makes up more than 100 trucks and 150 trailers. This merger has led to the rise of a new Central-Jutlandic transport group, and on these grounds Lars Jensen, CEO at Hans Jensen Transport, has a vision and an ambition to expand the market shares of the company further on the Danish and Northern-European market within the tank and silo transportation area.
Lars Jensen states:” We are going to benefit from the synergy, that naturally arises along with this big a merger, when we are going to carry out future growth plans. Together, we will be able to offer our clients a significantly larger capacity combined with a broad range of services and not least a higher flexibility regarding deliveries”. This statement is backed-up by Jørn Koldkur from J. Chr. Koldkur Transport, who also expresses his joy regarding the merger.
Jørn Koldkur utters: “We regard Hans Jensen Transport as the perfect match for us in connection with a planned generational shift. As a unified group, we are armed to the future market and the growth, which we expect to merge into”.
Lars Jensen and Jørn Koldkur both add that the merger also gives different optimization profits, that can reduce the total environmental effect. The number of empty transports can be reduced, and everything related to transportation can be managed more effectively. In addition to this, the group has more tank storages at their disposal in several places across the country and can hereby optimize the clients’ storage management.
Both companies are continued
Despite the merger, both Hans Jensen Transport and J. Chr. Koldkur Transport continue in their respective forms and with their current names. Both companies thereby remain on their current locations in respectively Sønder Onsild and Karup. The Jensen and the Koldkur family also continue their day-to-day work in the two companies that are now transformed into affiliated companies below Hans Jensen Transport holding company.
- “We both have a long-time history and proud traditions to pass on. The two companies have throughout generations been managed by truck families and therefore there is a great foundation to build on”, says Lars Jensen.
The staff in the two companies remains unaltered, and according to Jørn Koldkur both companies are looking for new employees to supplement their current staff.
- “Both companies are busy and have solid pipeline contracts. The growth is expected to be rising steadily in the future and we are therefore on the look for new employees”, he states in closing.
